Sturrock drops Barnes contract hint

The young striker has been a revelation for the Pilgrims during recent games after a loan spell at Eastbourne in which he scored five goals in eight games.[LNB]Barnes, 19, was only handed his first start for the Championship club against leaders Wolves towards the end of February, but he has gone on to start all three games since, contributing some notable performances in the process.[LNB]And with his current deal expiring this summer, Sturrock insists he will be sitting down with the forward to discuss new terms.[LNB]"I have taken Ashley into my first team," he told the club's official website. "He has now played four or five games.[LNB]"I am a manager and I pick what I see, and I like what I see, so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to appreciate I am going to be trying to do a new deal for him."[LNB][LNB]
