Some of the best - Reid

Plymouth manager Peter Reid hailed his side for producing `some of their best football of the season' in their 2-0 victory over Cheltenham in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Strikes from Steven MacLean and Craig Noone either side of half-time proved the difference as the Pilgrims secured a place in the Southern Area quarter finals. Reid said: "That's some of the best football we've played this season. With the chances we created I think I'm being fair when I say that we could have won by more. "We have to get it right at Home Park now - it's not been great this season. The away supporters have been tremendous and we have shown them what we can do. "There were some great performances and plenty of positives. I thought the kid Jack Stephens was tremendous. He handled everything and looked confident from the first minute. It looks as though he has a real future. "Noone was terrific and could have had four goals. He went at them, took people on and was positive - which was what we wanted him to do."
