Reid: We were second best

Plymouth manager Peter Reid admitted his disappointment at his side`s display in the 2-0 defeat at Notts County and conceded they were second-best throughout. Craig Westcarr opened the scoring in the 35th minute from a corner before John Spicer grabbed his first league goal for the club six minutes into the second half. The Pilgrims had chances of their own, but were unable to break down a resilient Magpies defence. Reid said: "I was really disappointed in our performance. We decided to change things and it didn't work, but it's not about formations. "It's about 11 players competing against 11 and we were out-competed. "We were second-best all over the park. From our point of view they were very poor goals to concede."
