Plymouth manager Peter Reid may yet offer a contract to on-trial midfielder Anton Peterlin after being impressed by his contributions in recent weeks. The former Everton man has been with the Pilgrims since the start of pre-season and has so far featured in three friendlies while Barry McLean, who represents the 23-year-old, has previously indicated his client was closing in on a move to the club. Reid told The Herald: "He has done well. I thought he did ever so well in the game against (NAC) Breda. We started him at right-back and moved him to the right-side of midfield. "He ended up in the centre of midfield and he's a boy with plenty of energy who doesn't give the ball away. He has acquitted himself really well. The lad has got a chance." Elsewhere, Reda Johnson (groin) and Bondz N'Gala (ankle) are recovering from recent injuries but Reid is confident they will return soon, adding: "The two lads have got little niggles but they aren't serious ones."
