Reid: Pilgrims making progress

Boss Peter Reid praised his young team after Plymouth pulled away from the bottom four with a 2-1 home victory over promotion-chasing Huddersfield. Bradley Wright-Phillips netted either side of Anthony Pilkington`s equaliser for the Terriers to take his tally for the season to seven goals. Reid made six changes, including recalling fit-again goalkeeper David Button and handing on-loan Chelsea midfielder Conor Clifford a start. "Button and Clifford put in good performances, well I thought they all played well," said Reid. "There was a young side out there and a young bench and they have done really well to hang on and get a result. We had to work hard because they are a good side at this level." On Clifford, Reid added: "I said to the boy: `Do you want to play?` and he said `I would love to'. I thought, right, I am going to stick you in. "He's got the enthusiasm and sometimes it's worth putting someone in when they are like that - and I think you saw out there it was the right decision."
