Reid left disappointed

Plymouth manager Peter Reid admits he was left bitterly disappointed after his 10-man side lost 2-1 after a brilliant debut goal by Walsall's Reuben Reid. Joe Mason gave Plymouth the lead but Paul Marshall headed Walsall level before Reid struck the winner. Reid said: "I thought it was a very entertaining game. We had chances to score and Walsall did too, but I was disappointed with our defending in one or two instances. I thought we were sloppy. "We went in front with a very good goal, it was a great touch by the boy (Mason) and he looks a decent prospect. But you can't afford to concede goals like we did at any level and Walsall capitalised on it." Asked about the incident when Plymouth's central defender Kari Arnason was sent off in stoppage time for pulling back Walsall striker Alex Nicholls, Reid said: "I am not sure what contact there was and I am not here to criticise referees, but I thought it was a bit harsh."
