Reid getting on with job

Plymouth manager Peter Reid insists it is business as usual for him despite the cash crisis that is threatening the future of the club. Argyle face financial problems after being served a third winding-up petition by HM Revenue and Customs in less than 12 months. The club's board of directors are desperately trying to come up with new funding before the High Court date on December 8. However, Reid is determined not to let events off the pitch distract his players and believes adversity could make them harder to beat. "I'm just getting on with my job and dealing with the football side," Reid told the Western Morning News. "I know it's a difficult time for everybody concerned at the football club but, hopefully, the board will sort it all out. "In circumstances like this you try to keep the players up to speed with what is going on. I think that's important because they are the ones who have got to go out on the pitch and perform. "When you are in this sort of situation you can get a siege mentality among the group, and that could work for us."
