Reid expects more exits

Plymouth boss Peter Reid has hinted that more players will leave Home Park ahead of the new season. Argyle were relegated from the Championship last term and new boss Reid has wasted no time in trimming his squad. Midfielder Simon Walton has joined Sheffield United on a season-long loan, Scottish striker Alan Gow has had his contract terminated and fellow striker Ashley Barnes has been sold to Brighton for an undisclosed fee. Speaking to the Plymouth Herald following their 2-0 friendly win over Truro City at the weekend, Reid said that he would not be surprised to see more players leave. He said: "There are three players gone out and I wouldn't be at all surprised if there were a few more going out." Scottish striker Steve MacLean, Dutch defender Marcel Seip and Hungarian defender Krisztian Timar are all rumoured to be facing the exit door. Argyle face neighbours Torquay in their second pre-season friendly at Plainmoor on Tuesday.
