Reid accepts Argyle second best

Plymouth boss Peter Reid was honest in his assessment after seeing his side slip to a third successive league defeat, 2-0 at Brentford. Brentford midfielder Myles Weston headed home Charlie MacDonald's cross in the 35th minute and rifled home another ball into the area from the same player 11 minutes into the second half to leave Argyle three points above the drop zone. Reid said: "The better side won. The conditions were very difficult with the wind and we huffed and puffed, but got what we deserved in the end. "Brentford won most of the second balls and were dominant. "In recent games we've played well and deserved to get something, but that really wasn't the case here. "We didn't have enough pace up front to stretch them and they had too much pace to stretch us."
