Hiram Boateng poised to play his part for Pilgrims

Hiram Boateng could return to the Plymouth starting line-up against lowly York on Monday after easing himself back into life at Home Park.

The 20-year-old midfielder played just the final 12 minutes of Friday's 2-0 Sky Bet League Two victory at Morecambe at the request of parent club Crystal Place following a 90-minute midweek outing for the Eagles' development team.

However, Boateng, one of seven loanees in Derek Adams' squad, could be included once again by the club for whom he made 19 appearances during the first half of the campaign, in the process resuming his successful partnership with Carl McHugh.

McHugh was back in the starting XI at the Globe Arena for the first time in six matches following a calf problem, and Adams will hope the pair can help maintain Argyle's promotion push.

York boss Jackie McNamara will monitor striker Bradley Fewster, who missed Friday's 2-2 home draw with Crawley due to a back problem.

Fellow forward Jake Hyde has missed the last two games due to a groin injury and will also be assessed.

Michael Coulson, who returned to the bench following a groin injury and played for the final 30 minutes against Crawley, is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up.

McNamara, who has reported no new injury concerns, will be without on-loan Newcastle centre-back Kyle Cameron again as he is on international duty with Scotland Under-19s.
