Tranmere could include defenders Tim Cathalina and Zoumana Bakayogo, who have both recovered from injuries.
Midfielder Alan Mahon could also return, while winger Andy Robinson (calf) should be fit.
Plymouth Argyle manager Peter Reid told BBC Radio Devon: "The players have been good, they've been upbeat and they've got a spirit among them.
"It's about keeping the positives all the time, keeping training bright and breezy and at the end of the day there are people worse off than ourselves.
"Nobody wants this club to go to the wall, but we've still got to get the fight on ourselves as we're not going to get an easy ride anywhere."
