Blanchard back for Argyle

Plymouth look set to be boosted by the return of defender Max Blanchard when they face Rochdale at Home Park.

The Frenchman is yet to feature this season and has been away on compassionate leave for the last week or so but he looks likely to be involved against Keith Hill's men.

Goalkeeper Jake Cole is also fit for the clash, leaving manager John Sheridan with a dilemma again with Luke McCormick having stepped in against the Robins last weekend.

Marving Morgan looks set to partner Reuben Reid up front once more while Paul Wotton remains sidelined with broken ribs.

Rochdale defender Rhys Bennett is closing in on his first start since in over five months.

The 21-year-old, sidelined with a knee injury, made his first appearance since March off the substitutes' bench against Chesterfield last week and hopes to be included in the starting line-up.

Dale will be without suspended skipper Peter Cavanagh again as he sits out the second game of a three-match ban following his recent dismissal at Burton.

Andrew Tutte, recalled to midfield in Cavanagh's absence, scored from the penalty spot last week and is hoping to retain his place and fellow midfielder Matty Done is pushing for his first start of the season.
