Reid not ready for Argyle

Striker Reuben Reid is still unlikely to be fit for Plymouth as they look to bounce back from consecutive losses against Northampton.

The club's top scorer has missed the last two games with a foot injury and manager John Sheridan says they will continue to monitor him as the injury eases.

Reid's place could go to Jason Banton, who impressed after coming on for Ryan Brunt in the defeat to Stevenage on Tuesday.

Dominic Blizzard is expected to feature despite needing 10 stitches to an eye wound, but Sheridan confirmed on-loan midfielder Olly Lee will remain with the club as he completes the final game of a three-match suspension.

Northampton are without the suspended Joel Byrom as he starts a two-game ban following his 10th booking of the season against Portsmouth.

The midfielder could be replaced by Darren Carter in a like-for-like swap at Home Park.

But John-Joe O'Toole is back from his three-game suspension and could make an immediate return.

Marc Richards is available but is still not fully fit as he continues to nurse an Achilles problem.
