Sheridan era starts with Shrimps visit

Plymouth's new loanee Ronan Murray could come straight into the starting line-up against Morecambe for new manager John Sheridan's first game in charge, with Nick Chadwick starting a lengthy suspension.

Chadwick, 30, will miss the Pilgrims' next six games after being sent off against Port Vale and his place could be taken by Ipswich loanee Murray, who arrived on Thursday.

Fellow forward Tyler Harvey returned to training this week after a calf injury, which he suffered in the 1-0 home defeat to Wycombe, and he is expected to be included in the squad.

Paul Wotton played for 75 minutes in the 4-0 defeat at Vale Park having been sidelined since September with a back injury and he is likely to start again for the npower League Two strugglers.

Sheridan, who was appointed as the new Argyle boss on Sunday, replacing Carl Fletcher in the managerial hot seat, strengthened his squad further on Friday by signing centre-half Guy Branston on a deal until the end of the season.

Morecambe will be without the suspended Andrew Wright when they make the long journey to Devon.

Wright received his 10th yellow card of the season towards the end of the 2-1 home win over Dagenham on Tuesday night and the defender will begin a two-match ban.

Jordan Burrow, who only recently returned from a knee injury, went off injured against the Daggers. The extent of the problem is not yet known but he is a doubt.

Ryan Williams could make his long-awaited debut after finally completing his move to the Globe Arena.

Williams trained with the Shrimps over the summer and appeared to have secured a contract in October, only for international clearance issues to scupper the deal.

But the former Rhyl and Chester midfielder has now been given the green light to officially join up with Jim Bentley's squad and he will be available for selection.
