Defender Nauris Bulvitis could feature for Plymouth against Luton

Defender Nauris Bulvitis is one of 14 new summer arrivals who could make their Plymouth Argyle debut when they host Sky Bet League Two new boys Luton Town at Home Park.

Bulvitis is one of four central defenders signed by manager Derek Adams, with Sonny Bradley, Karleigh Osborne and Yann Songo'o all looking to feature on Saturday.

Recent signing and former Chelsea academy prospect David Ijaha, who impressed during pre-season, could make his Football League debut for the Pilgrims following a spell with National League South side Whitehawk.

Adams will hope his side can go one step further as they seek promotion after their League Two play-off final defeat against AFC Wimblebdon. The 41-year-old signed a new four-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2020.

Hatters boss Nathan Jones will be hoping former Oxford United pair Danny Hylton and Johnny Mullins can help the club kick off their campaign on the front foot.

Hylton and Mullins, who played integral roles in the U's' promotion to League One, both signed two-year deals in the summer.

Jake Gray is in line to start following his move from Crystal Palace.

Striker Jordan Cook and midfielder Glen Rea, who signed a permanent deal following a successful loan spell at Kenilworth Road, may also feature.
