Hourihane back for Argyle

Plymouth will have Conor Hourihane back from suspension as they look to recover from a week to forget against npower League Two leaders Gillingham at Home Park.

The 21-year-old missed Wednesday night's 2-1 loss to Burton after his early red card in the FA Cup defeat at Dorchester and the Irishman could go straight back into Carl Fletcher's starting line-up.

Fletcher played Guy Madjo and Warren Feeney in place of midfielder Hourihane and Rhys Griffiths in midweek and it remains to be seen whether the Argyle boss will stick with his recalled strike pair.

Meanwhile Fletcher revealed that Burnley loanee Alex MacDonald's first-half substitution against Burton was because of his understandable lack of focus after his grandmother passed away on the morning of the match.

Experienced midfielder Paul Wotton hopes to return from injury by the middle of December having not played since September while captain Darren Purse (toe) is likely to be assessed again.

Charlie Lee returns to boost Gillingham's midfield options.

Lee was forced out of Tuesday's goalless draw at home to promotion rivals Cheltenham with a virus but has returned to training and will be part of Martin Allen's plans at Home Park.

Youngsters Connor Essam and Jack Evans have also travelled with the Gills squad as they look to strengthen their grip on top spot in League Two.

Midfielder Charlie Allen and full-back Joe Martin both went to see a specialist on Thursday as they continue their recoveries from wrist injuries.

Bradley Dack will again sit out although the ankle problem he picked up last weekend is merely bruising and not as serious as first feared.
