Charles worry for Pilgrims

Plymouth defender Anthony Charles is a doubt for the clash with Fleetwood at Home Park.

The centre-back missed the goalless draw with Bradford in midweek after suffering a groin injury in the 2-1 defeat to Gillingham and he is rated as 50/50 to return to action.

The experienced Paul Wotton filled in for the former Aldershot defender and he could deputise again if Charles fails to pass a fitness test.

Bristol City loanee Joe Bryan looks likely to retain his place in the Pilgrims' midfield after an impressive debut just hours after moving from Ashton Gate.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin has returned to full training having been ruled out since early February with a hamstring injury.

Argyle, two points from safety, have failed to score in four of their last five games at Home Park.

Fleetwood manager Graham Alexander has no new fitness worries for the trip.

The Cod Army claimed their first win in six outings as Jon Parkin fired his second hat-trick of the season in midweek to sink struggling Accrington 3-0.

Fellow forward Steven Gillespie is still recovering from a hamstring strain so former Manchester City youngster David Ball is set to continue alongside the veteran.

Alexander's only other injury absentee is defender David Howell, who continues his recovery from a leg injury sustained during last weekend's goalless draw against Exeter.

Jamie McGuire returned from a three-match ban on Tuesday night and is expected to retain his place in midfield.

Fleetwood lie one place outside the play-off places but are five points behind seventh-placed Exeter with a game in hand.
