Tsoumou helps Pilgrims progress

On-loan Preston striker Juvhel Tsoumou scored the winner as Plymouth saw off Bradford 1-0.

Paul Wotton's superb free-kick from the right set up Tsoumou for his first Plymouth goal, a free header at the far post in the fourth minute.

Bradford conceded another free-kick 20 yards out moments after falling behind and Robbie Williams' shot cannoned off the post before hitting the back of Bantams keeper Matt Duke and going out for a corner.

Much-changed Bradford, who featured six changes to their starting XI, countered - with skipper Mick Flynn sending a volley inches wide from 25 yards. Argyle keeper Jake Cole then turned a close-range City effort off a post and flapped a Craig Fagan corner away as it spun towards goal.

Cole was similarly to the fore late in the game, as Bradford piled on the pressure. The Argyle keeper made a brilliant stop on the line to keep out a thumping goalbound header from recalled City central defender Guy Branston. The ball fell to Bradford's Lee Bullock, who again forced Cole to save.

However, the save of the match was Duke's 83rd-minute full-stretch diving stop to tip over Wotton's piledriver, which seemed destined for the top corner.
