Pilgrims take seaside Seip gamble

The 27-year-old Dutch centre-back linked up with former Pilgrims boss Ian Holloway at the end of last month. He was an unused substitute in the 4-1 defeat at Crystal Palace in the Championship last time out, but with the Seasiders leaking goals, he could now get his chance against Argyle. Seip was transfer listed at Home Park following a bust-up with Paul Sturrock, and the decision has now been taken to allow Seip to make his debut against his former team-mates. Argyle director Keith Todd told the club website: "Marcel needs to be playing matches. "While it is sometimes the case that on-loan players are forbidden from playing against their parent club, all such situation need to be consider on their own merits. "Should Marcel be selected against us, I am sure our players will enjoy playing against him."
