Pilgrims smash Saltash

An under-strength Plymouth side produced a ruthless display of finishing in a 8-0 pre-season win at Saltash. Bradley Wright-Phillips started the rout after 10 minutes before Rory Patterson quickly doubled Argyle`s advantage from the penalty spot. Trialist Owain Tudor Jones put the Championship club further ahead after 16 minutes and goals late in the first half from Craig Noone and Wright-Phillips made it 5-0 at the break. Joe Mason netted early in the second half before two goals in the space of a minute from apprentice Curtis Nelson and then Patterson completed the scoring just after the hour mark.
