Plymouth striker Rory Patterson has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad to face Scotland in the Carling Nations Cup on February 9. The former Coleraine hitman netted his first international goal in his last outing for Northern Ireland, stepping up to convert a late penalty to salvage a draw against Morocco. Meanwhile, rookie Argyle striker forward Joe Mason has been placed on stand-by for the Republic of Ireland's U21 squad, as they prepare for a friendly away to Cyprus on the same date.
