Plymouth have completed the signing of Tottenham youngster Dean Parrett on a season-long loan deal. The 18-year-old midfielder, who enjoyed a loan spell with League Two side Aldershot last term, has represented England at Under-17 and Under-19 level and also featured in Spurs' UEFA Cup clash with Shakhtar Donetsk in February 2009. Argyle boss Peter Reid told the club's official website: "Dean's a young attacking midfielder who has played for England so it's a good prospect for us. "I just feel we need somebody to open things up in the middle of the park and I'm hoping Dean will be the man and I'm sure he will be. "I'm excited to be working with the boy and hopefully he can get on the pitch and do the job for us." Parrett will link up with fellow Tottenham player David Button at Home Park, and Reid added: "I spoke to the boy (Parrett) on the telephone and he says he's a big mate of Butts so that just means he will fit into the surroundings even better."
