Mariner replaces Sturrock at Argyle

Former England striker Mariner is the new man at the helm at Home Park after the Championship strugglers announced a reshuffle of their management team.[LNB]As part of the changes, manager Sturrock, currently in his second spell at the south Devon outfit, is to take up a business-support role.[LNB]Mariner, who started his successful playing career with Argyle in 1973, has been back at the club for the last two months working as Sturrock's assistant.[LNB]The Pilgrims are currently second bottom in the Championship table and three points adrift of safety having lost their last three games.[LNB]Chairman Sir Roy Gardner said: "The board has decided to make this move following the continuing poor set of results.[LNB]"We are convinced we have the capability to improve our performance and remain in the Championship."[LNB][LNB] Preston 8/11, Draw 5/2, Plymouth 4/1
