Johnson back to boost Pilgrims

Plymouth boss Peter Reid will have centre-back Reda Johnson available for his side`s Johnstone's Paint Trophy southern section second-round match at Cheltenham. Johnson returns from the one-match ban he served by sitting out Saturday's 1-0 home loss to Hartlepool and is expected to regain his place in the starting XI. Reid praised the performance of 16-year-old right-back Jack Stephens after he came on as a first-half substitute in the weekend's narrow defeat and he could be in line for a start. The same can be said for Congolese striker Yala Bolasie who made his comeback from six weeks out with ankle and knee problems to come on at half-time against the Pools. However, midfielder Jim Paterson is a doubt for the match after picking up a slight hamstring injury at the weekend and is likely to be rested. Steven MacLean will be looking to earn a recall after being an unused substitute in the club`s last two games.
