Defensive role for Argyle's Walton

The former Leeds, Cardiff and QPR player has been used primarily as a central midfielder by Sturrock when he has featured for the first team. In recent second-string games, though, 21-year-old Walton has been used in central defence. Sturrock said: "Simon was a centre-back and he was converted into a midfield player. He came down here last season with QPR and didn't look out of sorts at the back. "He definitely has defensive qualities, so why not at his age see if he can blossom as a centre-half?"
