Cooper stakes claim with reserves winner

American striker Kenny Cooper scored the only goal as Plymouth beat Swindon in a reserves match at Home Park. Cooper has yet to make a first-team start for Argyle, who visit relegation rivals Watford in a crunch game on Saturday. Argyle also used the game to give World Cup-bound New Zealand international Rory Fallon a full 90-minute run-out. Fallon was introduced as a late substitute in Monday's 2-0 home Championship defeat by Middlesbrough but has had his first-team opportunities limited recently by the form of strike pair Bradley Wright-Phillips and Jamie Mackie. Assistant manager John Carver said: "Who know what happens to one or maybe two of your strikers? Kenny and Rory need to be playing so if they are called upon they can step right in."
