Clifford keen to stay
Conor Clifford is hoping to extend his loan spell at Plymouth.
The 19-year-old, who only joined the Pilgrims last week on a one-month deal from Chelsea, impressed on his first appearance at the weekend, playing the full 90 minutes of the 2-1 home win over Huddersfield.
Clifford revealed he was keen to leave Stamford Bridge on loan when he knew there was no real chance of regular football there this season, and has praised Argyle boss Peter Reid for taking a chance on him.
He told the Plymouth Herald: "Realistically, I'm not going to play for Chelsea so I need to push on my career by getting some games in proper men's football.
"After winning the Youth Cup (at Chelsea) last season, my goal was to get out on loan as quickly as I could. But I wasn't really expecting it to be this quick.
"I thought it would have been after Christmas, so this is a bonus for me. I'm grateful to Peter Reid for giving me the chance. I would love to stay here, but it's up to Plymouth and my performances on the pitch. We will see what happens."
