Carver named Pilgrims assistant
The former Newcastle and Leeds coach, 44, will start work with Mariner on Thursday ahead of Saturday's Championship clash against Coventry at Home Park.[LNB]Carver has recently been head coach of Major League Soccer side Toronto.[LNB]Mariner said: "I am obviously delighted John is going to be my assistant.[LNB]"He knows the game inside out and we are going to be coaching the team together - sometimes I will do it, sometimes John will do it.[LNB]"The way I see it, John will be doing most of the sessions because he's a fantastic coach."[LNB][LNB]
