Plymouth winger Yannick Bolasie is still at least two weeks away from fitness according to boss Peter Reid.
The 21-year-old attacker signed a new two-year deal at Home Park in the summer but has yet to feature this season following keyhole surgery on his knee in August.
Bolasie is expected to miss the trip to Colchester on September 11, meaning the next target for his return is the following week's fixture with Sheffield Wednesday.
"I wish he could play at Colchester, but I think it might be too early for him," Reid told the Herald.
"Obviously, he's a player who can go past people and is an attacking option we've missed, without a doubt,"
Argyle are not playing this weekend after their home game with Brighton was called off due to international call-ups.
