Plymouth boss Peter Reid will be without Onismor Bhasera for the trip to Carlisle. Left-back suffered knee ligament damage in the 34th minute of Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Hartlepool and had to be stretchered off. The 25-year-old will undergo a scan over the next few days to determine the full extent of the injury. Midfielder Simon Walton, who is yet to make a first-team appearance this season, will also miss out as he continues his rehabilitation from cruciate knee ligament damage by turning out for the reserves instead. Fellow midfielder Chris Clark is available to return following his three-match ban. Utility player Kari Arnason has overcome the hamstring problem which kept him out of the defeat at Pools and will return to the squad.
