Barnes in Argyle contract talks

The 19-year-old has been one of the success stories of a poor season for Argyle, with his strike partnership with Jamie Mackie blossoming in recent weeks, but Sturrock wants Barnes to keep his feet on the ground.[LNB]He told the club's official website "We are in discussions (with Barnes) but I'd rather he concentrates on the games than a contract."[LNB]Meanwhile, the Greens boss insists Rudi Douala needs to prove he is worthy of long-term deal with the club.[LNB]The Cameroon international has struggled to establish himself since joining in March and Sturrock wants to test the striker in the remaining two fixtures after Saturday's game with Doncaster.[LNB]"The only way I can (offer him a new contract) is by seeing him in battle conditions," he said.[LNB][LNB]
