Plymouth defender Chris Barker is set to leave the club after two years at Home Park. Peter Reid, who was appointed as manager of the Pilgrims last month, has decided the 30-year-old's future lies elsewhere. Barker, who joined the club on a free transfer, will not be joining the League One club on their pre-season tour of Holland which is set to begin on Friday. Reid told the club's official website: "Chris Barker won't be going [on tour]. We've had a chat about it and I think his future is away from the club, and I've told him that. "I've made the decision as the manager. You have to make those decisions because that's what I'm paid for. "I have nothing against the boy; it's just a professional decision."
