Argyle in winning start

Peter Reid's first game in charge of Plymouth ended in a 2-0 win at Truro City. Argyle struck in each half through Yola Bolasie and Steve MacLean to get their pre-season friendly fixture schedule off to a winning start at Treyew Road. Pilgrims pair Kari Arnason and Jim Paterson were both withdrawn due to minor injuries, but Reid, installed as Paul Mariner's successor last month, was delighted. He said: "I'm delighted. We got a couple of knocks, which isn't ideal, but I said before we went out, `if anyone feels anything, come off', so it's just precautionary. "The knocks aren't bad ones and they should be training with us in the next few days."
