Argyle debut leaves Barnes buzzing

The young striker joined the Pilgrims from lowly Paulton Town in 2007 and has waited nearly two years for his Championship debut.[LNB]An impressive loan spell at Eastbourne Borough, where he scored five goals, has now prompted manager Paul Sturrock to thrust him into Argyle's first-team squad and he made his league debut against Derby recently.[LNB]"It was brilliant to get my Championship debut," Barnes told the club's official website.[LNB]"The loan spell at Eastbourne has helped me massively.
