Tuesday night's 2-0 defeat at QPR leaves the Pilgrims rooted in the bottom three of the Championship and seven points from safety.[LNB]Now Paul Marriner is set to sign Hammers centre-back N'Gala and Zimbabwe full-back Bhasera after he was granted a work permit.[LNB]Argyle will now have to apply for a visa for the 23-year-old left-back, who has been training at Home Park for the last few weeks.[LNB]The Pilgrims will also have to obtain international clearance for the former Kaizer Chiefs player.[LNB]Mariner said: "Having watched him work over the past few weeks, seen him interact with the players, and seen his technical ability, it became a very important step for the club to sign this young player."[LNB]Meanwhile Marriner told the club's official website of N'Gala: "N'Gala's a very, very strong defender. He's not an archetypal Championship defender - he's got more ability than that - but he's an uncompromising defender who likes to defend.[LNB]"He's been on our radar. He came in for a week's training and we wanted to keep him but it wasn't happening. West Ham had some injuries but now they've got players coming back they have lent him to us. We're very grateful.[LNB]"He's a very intelligent player and a quick learner. The important thing is he likes to defend. It bothers him when either a) the team he's on concedes a goal or b) he gets beat, which is not very often to be honest."[LNB][LNB]
