Blue Toon confident over Ross appealPeterhead are waiting on official confirmation from the Scottish Football Association over their appeal against Scott Ross' red card ahead of the visit of Stirling. The defender was given his marching orders in last weekend's 2-1 defeat at East Stirling and although the club understand Ross has been given clearance to play, they are taking no chances until written confirmation is received.Blue Toon boss Jim McInally said: "The indications we have received from the SFA is that Scott is clear to play, however until we get correspondence in confirming it I am not counting too many chickens."Definitely missing is defender Callum MacDonald, who picked up a knock in training on Thursday, and midfielder Jamie Redman.McInally added: "This will be a tricky game as Stirling remind me of Peterhead last season in that they have a squad of decent players who should be getting better results but things have just not clicked together yet."Stirling will again be led by assistant manager Shaun Fagan with boss Greig MacDonald on honeymoon.Striker Steven Weir is the only player unavailable to the stand-in manager as he starts a two-match suspension.Fagan will be looking for his players to lift their game after a flat performance in their 3-1 loss to Montrose last weekend."To go from the high of beating Rangers to losing three goals in the first half against Montrose brought us all crashing down with a bump," Fagan said."We were incredibly flat but we now have the chance to lift ourselves with a good performance against Peterhead and that is what we will be looking to do."
