Smith set for Peterhead bow
Peterhead are hoping to conclude a deal to have former Kilmarnock, St Johnstone and St Mirren goalkeeper Graeme Smith in between the posts for the visit of Clyde.
Smith has been training with the Balmoor club and is expected to put pen to paper on Saturday morning.
However, manager Jim McInally has other concerns to deal with as Callum Macdonald, Martin Bavidge, David Ross and Graeme Sharp have been ruled out and Jamie Redman is a doubt.
McInally said: "Having Graeme on board would be a great move as he has great experience.
"Like a lot of teams in this league we want to find a consistent high level and a win over Clyde would be a great start to taking us towards that target."
Second bottom Clyde make the trip looking for their first win in nine games.
John Neil is back in their squad following his ban for getting sent off against Rangers last month.
Steve Masterton has been released by the club and manager Jim Duffy's options could be reduced further as Gavin Brown is a major doubt due to a groin injury and new recruit, former St Mirren and Kilmarnock youngster Ross Lindsay, is not match fit.
Duffy said: "On their day Peterhead are one of the top sides in this division so we are preparing for a tough afternoon.
"We have not won in while but have not been playing badly and just need to cut out silly errors and a win will come."
