Duo doubts for Blue Toon

Rory McAllister and Fraser McLaren are doubts for Peterhead ahead of the visit of Stirling Albion to Balmoor.

Both forwards missed last weekend's draw with Albion Rovers but could return to face the side that sits immediately below the Blue Toon in the table if they pass late fitness tests.

Not such good news for manager Jim McInally sees Callum MacDonald (knee), Craig Tully (ankle), Bryan Gilfillan (calf) and David Cox (foot) remain out.

McInally said: "Stirling have great experience in their ranks as well as good pace on the wings and a top striker in Jordan White.

"We need to play really well to pick up anything in this one."

Albion will be without suspended striker Graham Weir as they look to repeat their 2-0 success over Peterhead from earlier this season.

Chris Smith and Bradley Coyne both miss out through knee injuries though, with manager Greig McDonald looking to get a challenging festive period off to a good start.

McDonald said: "We face Peterhead, Clyde and East Stirling in our next three games so places at the top end of the table are up for grabs. A win at Balmoor would be a terrific result and a great start to what is a very challenging period.

"We have done well against Peterhead in recent seasons and hopefully that will continue."
