One out, two return as Peterhead prepare for Brechin visit

Peterhead are without suspended skipper Steven Noble against bottom of the table Brechin.

However, Scott Ross and Jordan Brown return after bans for the Blue Toon. Injury-wise, Leighton McIntosh is struggling with an ankle problem.

Ahead of the game, Peterhead manager Jim McInally, whose team are second in the table, said: ": "We are on a terrific run but we cannot take anything for granted. Brechin won at our place earlier in the season and then we played out a draw at Glebe Park.

"They will be hurt after losing 4-1 at Albion Rovers in midweek and be determined to bounce back. Our players showed a lot of determination to win at Cowdenbeath last weekend and we will need to do the same in this game.

The Glebe Park men miss David Weatherson due to a groin problem with player/manager Darren Dods adding Liam Watt on loan from Airdrie to bolster his squad.

Dods said: "We started well in midweek but being three goals down at half-time was really disappointing especially as it was an opportunity to make up ground on the two teams directly above us.

"We have to start winning games and whilst I recognise that Peterhead are doing fantastically well, and are a side who can score a lot of goals, this is a game we can win. We did it back in September and we will look to do it again."
