Darren Young wary ahead of trip to strong Peterhead side

Peterhead entertain Albion Rovers and the only absentee for the Blue Toon is Jamie Stevenson who has a hamstring injury.

Manager Jim McInally is looking for his men to up their game following last Saturday's 1-0 defeat from Airdrie as he explained: "It was disappointing as we had made the more chances however it was made worse by how we finished the game.

"In the final 10 minutes we never looked like a side who knew their way to goal and that is not like us."

"Albion Rovers have won well at home this season and I am sure that they will want to start winning on the road now," he added.

The Cliftonhill side head north with goalkeeper Ross Stewart in their squad after it was agreed that he could be released from the Scotland under-21 side.

Scott McBride is also available after a knock, but Kyle Turnbull is banned, John Gemmell is carrying an injury and Callum McRobbie is doubtful due to illness.

Player/ manager Darren Young said: "Peterhead away is a tough fixture and it is made tougher as they have two of the best strikers around in Rory McAllister and Shane Sutherland.

"However we go there with confidence after a good win over Brechin last weekend with our new signing Andrew Barrowman full of confidence after getting his first goal for the club."
