Peterhead increase lead at top
Peterhead extended their lead at the top of the Scottish League Two to ten points after a 2-0 home victory over Clyde.
Goals from Andrew Rogers and Fraser McLaren gave Peterhead the points to maintain their unbeaten home record this season.
Rogers' strike after just three minutes set the tone for the first half in which Clyde rarely threatened.
The away side came into the game more in the second period, with Brian McQueen and Patrick Scullion forcing Graeme Smith into action in the Peterhead goal.
Clyde looked good value for an equaliser until substitute McLaren's finish in the 86th minute killed off any hopes they had of getting back into the game.
Peterhead have now won five league games on the bounce and look hot favourites to take the League Two title, while Clyde remain in third place.
