Westwood returns to Posh

Peterborough United have recalled defender Chris Westwood from his loan spell at Cheltenham Town.

On-loan Manchester United defender James Chester returned to Old Trafford following Saturday's defeat by Southend United, while Craig Morgan and Gabriel Zakuani are injury doubts ahead of Tuesday's trip to Leyton Orient.

Meanwhile, Chester is hoping the first-team experience gained during five appearances for Posh will stand him in good stead when he returns to the Premier League champions.

"It's been a real learning curve for me, but one that I really needed as a player," he told the club's official website.

"I wanted first-team experience and that's what I've got under my belt and it will certainly stand me in good stead for the future.

"Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he wants me back at Old Trafford because there are a few injuries up there, so the plan is to return to Manchester United and see what happens there."
