Slapped wrist for Ferguson

The Football Association has handed Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson a suspended two-match touchline ban and fined him £750. Ferguson admitted an improper conduct charge relating to the use of abusive language towards the match referee in the tunnel immediately after last month's clash against West Bromwich Albion. The ban is suspended for the rest of the season and would come into effect in the event of a similar breach of rules. The Baggies won the London Road clash 3-2 after surging into a third-goal lead in the first half.
