Peterborough United are set to complete the permanent signing of defender Mark Arber following his release by Oldham Athletic.
The 27-year-old left Posh for Boundary Park before recently returning to London Road for a month's loan where he impressed boss Barry Fry.
As a result he has now been offered a two-and-a-half year contract by the Posh after reaching a settlement on the remainder of his deal at Boundary Park and could even face the Latics on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Fry is also hoping to complete the permanent signing of on-loan Sheffield Wednesday defender Guy Branston and bring a new striker to the club has he bids to strengthen the side in the push to avoid relegation.
