Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson has continued his rebuilding programme at London Road by snapping up Notts County captain Alan White on an emergency loan until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old has been a virtual ever-present in the Notts side this season, scoring five goals in 40 appearances since last summer's switch from Boston United.
Ferguson told the Posh's official website: "Alan's an experienced player and a good signing for this football club.
"We've been fortunate to get him because he's the captain at Notts County and obviously I'm short in that department.
"Craig Morgan is on international duty with Wales and left to report for the squad at the weekend, while Shane Blackett is obviously suspended.
"We're really pleased to have Alan on board and he'll go straight into the squad for Saturday's trip to Grimsby Town."
