King's Lynn defender Adam Smith has signed for League Two side Peterborough United on loan with a view to a permanent deal in January. The 21-year-old left-back has impressed greatly with the Southern League leaders and their former boss, Tommy Taylor, who is now coach at London Road, persuaded Posh boss Keith Alexander to make a move for him. Smith will join the club this week and is set to sign a full-time contract when the January transfer window opens. Alexander told his club's official website: "Tommy knows the player very well. We believe he is a player who can improve us as a team."
