Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson has made Walsall duo Chris Westwood and Dean Keates his first signings of the summer.

Both players have agreed three-year contracts at London Road after helping the Saddlers clinch promotion to League One this term.

Ferguson told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to capture Dean and Chris. I've had both players watched over the last few months and I know all about them.

"I know Chris from my time at Wolverhampton and he's been promoted with Hartlepool and Walsall.

"Dean has been captain at Walsall this year and they're both good professionals and good signings for this football club."
