Peterborough United have completed the signing of Lincoln City midfielder Peter Gain.
The 28-year-old has signed a three-year contract with Posh after rejecting the chance to stay at Sincil Bank.
Director of football Barry Fry is delighted with the signing, telling the club's official website: "Peter is very highly respected at this level and we're delighted to secure this signing.
"We've chased him for quite some time and it's great that he's decided to come here."
Gain chose to move to Peterborough despite having offers from Boston United and Huddersfield Town.
He said of his switch: "It was a wrench to leave Lincoln as the club have had a bit of success in recent times.
"Having said that, a lot of players have left Lincoln recently and in my opinion, the players didn't get their just rewards for their achievements in the last three years and that is a major factor why a lot of players have moved on."
