Manager Darren Ferguson was delighted by the performance of his Peterborough United side, as they won 3-1 at Colchester United in the FA Cup third round. Goals from Aaron McLean, George Boyd and Charlie Lee sent the Posh through to round four, securing a well-deserved win at Layer Road. Ferguson told the club's official website: "I am proud of the lads as it was a fantastic performance and we thoroughly deserved our victory. "In fact we could have been out of sight at half-time because we created so many opportunities. "It was an outstanding effort and to come to a Championship club and outplay them for long periods was a tremendous achievement."
