Peterborough United have agreed a double transfer window raid on Conference side Dagenham & Redbridge for Craig Mackail-Smith and Shane Blackett.
Striker Mackail-Smith, 22, has netted ten times for the Daggers this season, while Blackett, 24, is one of the most highly-rated central defenders in non-league football.
Posh's director of football Barry Fry told the club's official website: "I can confirm that I have had discussions with the Dagenham & Redbridge board and manager John Still and they have given me permission to talk to the two players.
"I have had a chat with both players and shown them around the club.
"They are two players that Keith Alexander (manager) has identified that he wants to bring in during the January transfer window and the deal will be completed next month."
